Acting Assistant Principal and E-flat Clarinet, Nashville Symphony

Theresa Zick is the recently appointed Acting Assistant Principal, Second, and E-flat Clarinet with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Prior to this position, Theresa enjoyed a busy freelance career in Chicago, regularly performing with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Quad City Symphony, and was an Associate Member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2018-2021. She also frequently performed as a featured musician with the City Club of Chicago.

Theresa holds a master’s degree from DePaul University and bachelor’s degrees in both clarinet performance and music education from the University of Michigan. Her primary teachers include: Stephen Williamson, Chad Burrow and Dan Gilbert.

When not playing the clarinet, Theresa enjoys spending time with her husband, Rory, and their cat and dog, Salem and Maggie. She also enjoys discovering and cooking new recipes.
