Kyle Athayde Dance Party

Kyle Athayde is a San Francisco Bay Area based composer, arranger, performer, teacher, and bandleader.  A native of Orinda, California, Kyle primarily plays vibraphone, piano, trumpet, and drums, as well as a variety of other instruments.  He is the leader, conductor, and writer for the big band, “Kyle Athayde Dance Party”, a group acclaimed for its versatility in the wide scope of styles it performs.  The Dance Party recently released their third studio album, and you can learn more about the project and donate to the fundraising efforts at www.kyleathaydedanceparty.com.  Kyle also performs with pianist Sullivan Fortner, having released their duo album “Tea For Two” in 2020.  He is a regular member of the Nate Sparks Big Band, Ryan DeWeese’s RAD Jazz Orchestra, and the Jon Hatamiya Big Band, as well as the arranger and pianist for saxophonist Eddie Barbash.
