Vivek Jayaraman was Concertmaster of the Canton Symphony Orchestra from 2015-2017. He currently resides in St. Petersburg, FL where he is a violinist with The Florida Orchestra. Additionally, Vivek is a recurring member of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland and the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Idaho. In 2017, Vivek was a guest Concertmaster with symphonies in Shreveport, Knoxville and Vancouver as well as a faculty member for Los Angeles Philharmonic’s National Take A Stand Youth Orchestra Festival. He has frequently performed as concertmaster for St. Petersburg Opera and has appeared with several other local ensembles.

Natural de Lansing, Michigan, Vivek se licenció en la Eastman School of Music con Charles Castleman y obtuvo un máster en Interpretación Orquestal en la Manhattan School of Music, donde estudió con Glenn Dicterow, antiguo concertino de la Filarmónica de Nueva York. Tras una beca de cuatro años con la New World Symphony, obtuvo el Artist Diploma in Concertmaster Studies en el Cleveland Institute of Music con el concertino de la Orquesta de Cleveland, William Preucil. Vivek toca un violín moderno construido en 2005 por Roger Graham Hargrave gracias al generoso préstamo de un querido amigo.
