Through generous donor support, the Festival may underwrite up to half of qualified student’s registration and boarding fees. Upon acceptance in the program, you will be notified of your scholarship eligibility and award amount. All scholarship information provided is held in the strictest confidence.

Liability Release

In consideration for participation in the Sun Valley Music Festival Music Institute, I, on behalf of myself, my child, or ward do hereby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless the Sun Valley Music Festival its directors, employees and agents thereof from any and all liability, claims or demands for personal injury, sickness or death, as well as property damage and expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred by the undersigned student that occur while said student is participating in the above-described activity. The undersigned further hereby agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Sun Valley Music Festival, its directors, employees and agents, for any liability sustained by said organizations as the result of the negligent, willful or intentional acts of said participant, including expenses incurred attendant thereto. I hereby grant my permission, as a participating student over the age of 18 or parent or legal guardian of a participating minor, for him or her to participate fully in the above-described activities, and hereby authorize medical treatment, including, but not in limitation to, emergency surgery or medical treatment, and assume the responsibility of all medical bills, if any. Further, should it be necessary for the participant to return home due to medical reasons, disciplinary action or otherwise, I hereby assume all transportation costs.

Once you have confirmed your boarding plans, you will receive an invoice for registration and boarding fees through the SVMF QuickBooks system. You will be able to pay all or part of your fees online with a credit card or with an ACH payment direct from your bank. If you prefer to mail a check, that is an option as well.

If you requested a scholarship when you applied, you will receive an email that outlines your scholarship award prior to receiving an invoice. If you did not request a scholarship when you applied, email the Education Office and one will be sent to you.

Total Advance Chamber Program Registration Fee: $250
Full Res Hall Boarding Fee based on 13-night occupancy: $750
Partial Boarding will be pro-rated at $60 per night.
The $30 application fee is non-refundable and will be applied to the total due upon acceptance.
The $50 room and board deposit is refundable if not accepted into the program. If accepted, it will be applied to total boarding fees.

Refund Policy

Please understand the importance of making a commitment to this program. Since ensembles are formed and music is sent in advance, it is not easy to replace group members at the last minute. Out of respect for your fellow group members, please inform the Education Office by JUNE 15, if you are unable to attend for any reason. A lastminute cancellation may affect your acceptance in future years.

Full refund of program and boarding fees: until June 15
Partial refund of program and boarding fees (one half total): up to July 15
NO REFUNDS after July 15
