Award-winning performers Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Kelli O\u2019Hara team up for the first time ever for the Festival\u2019s annual Gala.<\/h3>\n

The Sun Valley Music Festival is pleased to announce that Broadway superstars Audra McDonald<\/a>, Brian Stokes Mitchell<\/a>, and Kelli O\u2019Hara<\/a> will perform at its 2020 fundraising Gala Concert<\/a>. The concert will take place on Monday, Aug. 3 at the Sun Valley Pavilion and will mark the first time these three award-winning singers and actors have performed together on the same stage. The evening will also include a tribute to Earl Holding and Family, who own the Sun Valley Resort and built the Sun Valley Pavilion where the Music Festival has played for over 10 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m delighted that this once-in-a-lifetime collaboration is coming to Sun Valley. Audiences here know and love Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell, and with Kelli O\u2019Hara joining, I can barely imagine how incredible the energy will be on-stage. The winner of a record-breaking six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an Emmy Award, singer and actor Audra McDonald received a 2015 National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama and was also named one of \u201cTime\u201d magazine\u2019s 100 most influential people that year. She returned to Broadway in summer 2019 to star opposite Michael Shannon in \u201cFrankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune\u201d and can currently be seen as Liz Lawrence on CBS All Access\u2019s \u201cThe Good Fight,\u201d which launches its fourth season on April 9. Upcoming appearances include the role of Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams\u2019 \u201cA Streetcar Named Desire\u201d\u00a0this summer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and MGM\u2019s Aretha Franklin biopic, \u201cRespect.\u201d The Juilliard trained soprano also maintains a major career as a concert and recording artist. Her latest solo album, \u201cSing Happy,\u201d was recorded live with the New York Philharmonic for Decca Gold.<\/p>\n

Also returning to perform with the Festival, award-winning singer, actor, writer, and producer Brian Stokes Mitchell has been dubbed \u201c\u2026the last leading man\u2026\u201d by \u201cThe New York Times.\u201d A four-time Tony nominee, he won a Best Actor Tony for \u201cKiss Me Kate\u201d and was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in 2016. Beyond the stage, Mitchell has appeared in starring and guest roles for many celebrated film and television productions in his four-decade career, including seven years on \u201cTrapper John, M.D.,\u201d and a recurring role as Dr. Frasier Crane\u2019s upstairs neighbor and nemesis on \u201cFrasier.\u201d A multi-disciplined musician, he has released three solo albums, has appeared in collaboration on more than 20 albums, and has provided voice-overs for dozens of characters on animated TV episodes.<\/p>\n

Praised as \u201cBroadway\u2019s golden girl and luminous star\u2026\u201d by \u201cThe New York Times,\u201d Kelli O\u2019Hara rounds out the acclaimed trio. Widely acknowledged as one of Broadway\u2019s greatest leading ladies, she will make her debut with the Festival for the 2020 Gala. An Emmy-nominated actress for her role in \u201cThe Accidental Wolf,\u201d O\u2019Hara has also received seven Tony Award nominations and won the 2015 Best Leading Actress award for \u201cThe King and I.\u201d Other Broadway credits include \u201cNice Work If You Can Get It,\u201d \u201cSouth Pacific,\u201d \u201cThe Pajama Game,\u201d and \u201cThe Light in the Piazza.\u201d Her film and television credits include the second season of Netflix\u2019s \u201c13 Reasons Why,\u201d \u201cSex & The City 2,\u201d Showtime\u2019s \u201cMasters of Sex,\u201d and the animated series \u201cCar Talk.\u201d A Grammy-nominated recording artist, her catalog includes two solo albums, \u201cAlways,\u201d and \u201cWonder in the World.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gala tickets<\/a> will range in price from $85 on the lawn and in the Pavilion to $1,750 for the Artist Package, which will be limited to 30 tickets. The Artist Package includes premium reserved concert seats, a pre-concert cocktail reception, VIP parking, and a private post-concert dinner with the three performers, in an intimate setting. In addition to premium concert seats, $1,250 Sponsor Package tickets will include a pre-concert reception, VIP parking, and a seated post-concert dinner with an artist meet-and-greet and photo opportunity. Tickets at the $275 \u00adand $550 levels include the pre-concert cocktail reception and preferred seating in the Pavilion. Reserved Pavilion seating at $110 and $85 are also available, as well as $85 general admission lawn tickets, with the concert broadcast live on the Pavilion lawn\u2019s 25-foot, LED screen.<\/p>\n

Funds raised from the event support the Sun Valley Music Festival\u2019s year-round programs, including the free concerts in the Summer<\/a> and Winter<\/a> Seasons, tuition-free education programs in the summer<\/a>, and music education programs offered in partnership with the Blaine County School District<\/a> throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale to Festival donors at the $1,250 level and up and Encore Society members starting March 11 at 9 a.m. (MDT), available by phone only at 208-622-5607. Sales open to the general public on April 8 at 9 a.m. (MDT). Public sales for Pavilion seating takes place online at svmusicfestival.org<\/a> or by calling 208-622-5607. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. for Pavilion and lawn seating.<\/p>\n
