SUMMARY:2020 Honors Recital
DESCRIPTION:Join the Sun Valley Music Festival in honoring outstanding year-round students of the Music Institute! The annual Honors Recital is an opportunity for these young musicians to demonstrate their abilities\, formed through countless hours of hard work\, to a live audience. Students audition to participate and are selected by a panel of faculty members. Those chosen this year perform a variety of short works for strings\, piano\, and voice\, including eclectic selections from Bach\, Rachmaninoff\, Marcello\, and more. \nAnd this year—instead of performing live at the Community Campus in Hailey—their performances have been recorded from “living room concert halls” across the Wood River Valley to share with you online on the Festival website. Before you grab your refreshments and sink into your couch to enjoy the show\, check out the program (provided below). Be sure to stick around to the end\, when one student will be awarded the Carol Nie Outstanding Music Student Award for their exemplary study and performance.
